What to Expect From Your Photo Shoot

Wondering what to expect from your wedding photography experience? I’ll be guiding you through every step of the way so you can have the most fun at your engagement session and on your big day.

In the weeks before engagement shoot we’ll talk about you. Yes, you. What you’re like, what you do, and we’ll plan a shoot that really shows you off as a couple. It could be as simple as a walk in the park or it could be a fully staged affair. I’ll talk with you about props or anything else you plan to bring and how to maximize the location and the lighting there.

I like to see your outfits before the shoot so I request that you send me photos a week prior to your shoot just to make sure you look your best, but more importantly that you coordinate with your fiance and that you fit with your surroundings.

Before we start, we’ll review your session plan and go over your clothing selections. Then, the fun begins! You may be nervous at first, but don’t worry – you’ll soon relax and find your inner model. Plus, we usually laugh a LOT! I usually give you some sneak peeks on the back of my camera to show you how awesome you’re looking.

About two weeks after the session I’ll be sending you the best images from our time together. I’ll also set up a online gallery so that you can share them with your friends and family.

I’ll be in touch with you roughly every month or so before the wedding, checking in, and making sure that everything is going according planned. I’ll be checking a few extra times the month before the wedding to make sure we have all the photo lists that you’d like and that we talk about exactly how the day will flow. I’ll be in touch with you as well as your wedding planner coordinating the timeline so that you get the most photos from your day.

About 10-12 weeks after the wedding your final photos will be ready to view. We’ll have an in studio viewing of all the photos together. My favorite part!!! Then we’ll make selections for your album or any prints or extras you would like for friends and family.
